chemo 2
Chemotherapy is frequently used to control some types of cancer in pets and can be employed alone or in addition to other types of treatments such as surgery or radiation therapy. Chemotherapy is administered at Hawthorne orally (pills) and intravenously. The most common cancers we treat with chemotherapy are: lymphoma, bladder cancers, mammary (breast) cancer, and melanomas.

Our Glen Carbon office offers chemotherapy treatments for both cats and dogs.  Chemotherapy can be offered as in-patient and/or out-patient service, based on veterinary recommendation.  We also offer chemotherapy as a referral service, we just ask your regular veterinarian to contact our office prior to patient transfer. chemo1
