Dr. Schwartz completed her undergraduate work at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 2006. She went on to graduate Cum Laude from University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Her medical interests lie in preventive care, geriatric medicine, oncology, and ophthalmology. Dr. Schwartz also has experience in small animal emergency medicine. She has volunteered at area shelters to do spays and neuters for rescued and stray dogs and cats. Dr. Schwartz is recently married and enjoys reading, spending time on the Edwardsville trails, visiting with her large family and traveling with her husband. She has two French Bulldogs, Rocko and Howard.
Kim has been with Hawthorne Animal Hospital since November 2002. Kim started in the reception dept. and moved to inventory manager in 2004. She is currently the manager at our Troy location. She has been married to Andy since 1984 and they have 2 children, David and Brenna. She loves to spend time with her grandson. She has 2 dogs- Sammy and Paco. Her favorite hobbies are riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles and spending weekend trips with her family.
Kelsey, Reception/ Technician
Kelsey started at Hawthorne in the summer of 2017. She loves helping make pets happy and healthy. She has a Mini Australian Shepherd named Boots and a Husky named Raji. She enjoys Motorsports in her free time.
